Next month the GSPCA will be celebrating 140 years caring for animals in Guernsey and we are appealing for pictures or video clips of the work during our 84 years at our current address or even the early 1900's or late 1800's that anyone that may have.
We have a very good record of our history back until the late 1920's but very few pictures.
Our records include annual reports back to 1929 and even a visitor book from the 1970's with some lovely signatories.

Today is the last day we are at the Pop Up Shop in Smith Street.
Helen Holmes one of the Shelter Shop has been managing the Shop since 17th December and it has been a great success.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said 'We are very grateful to the OSA Recruitment team for the loan of the Shop.'
'It has been a wonderful Christmas present and enabled us to raise thousands of pounds for the Animal Shelter.'
Jethou Bumblebee has been at the Shelter for just over 4 weeks and has really grown an appetite.
With 15 to 20 fish being swallowed a day he has put on an additional 10kg which is fantastic news as he was only 17kg on entry.
Staff at the Shelter have decided now to do the rehabilitation work at the GSPCA and we are appealing for donations of fish, especially herring and mackerel.
Geoff George ACO and the main carer for Jethou Bumblebee said 'I am so pleased with his progress.'
4 weeks ago an injured Common Scoter was brought into the GSPCA after being rescued in Beaucette Marina.
Below is a list of opening times for the GSPCA.
Please remember that in the case of an emergency, sick, injured or stray animal(s) please call 01481 257261 and choose the 24 hour emergency option.
The GSPCA officially stop rehoming on the 15th December until the 2nd January but some animals may be suitable during these periods. The GSPCA do not believe in pets as presents and each home is looked at individually as is the pet.
Every year the GSPCA rescues and takes in dozens of chickens and this weekend the Shelter has a real challenge.
The GSPCA will helping with the unwanted hens in and around the Last Post area in St Andrews.
Stray chickens can easily cause problems by multiplying into large numbers which can cause both health problems and other issues.
The GSPCA will be popping along to help catch a number of the hens for rehoming to help with the problem of the large numbers of birds roaming the area.
