With the recent launch of the Dolphin Discovery Trail 2025 many businesses and groups are getting involved and it is not to late but you need to move fast!

The GSPCA couldn’t do so much without incredibly kind islanders, businesses and supporters.
This week the GSPCA were invited along to Duquemin & Ozanne for an incredibly kind donation.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “Yesterday I popped along to the team at Duquemin & Ozanne who moved into their new premises in the Summer.”
On the 6th November 2023 a loggerhead turtle was washed up on the West Coast of Guernsey.
Barnacle Bill as the young turtle was called has since that time been in the care of the GSPCA.
On arrival she was very cold and weak but in the care of the Animal Shelter quickly improved and has been growing and putting weight on ever since.
There are many ways to support our work at the GSPCA this Christmas from sponsoring a kennel to a wish list gift.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “With over 3000 animals through our doors each year we have seen an incredibly busy and difficult year and it would be amazing if we could have a bumper Christmas of kindness.”
“There are a huge range of ways to support our work this Christmas and we have popped a page together with a few ideas.”
The GSPCA asks that you think of your animals with the extreme high winds due.
Bad weather means it is difficult for hedgehogs and wild birds to feed normally, and young seal pups can easily be separated from their mothers.
Also we have to ensure our pets are safe and we must think of those that live outside if they are safe and if any precautions need to be taken.
Saturday 21st December at the GSPCA our annual Christmas celebration takes place for all those that have done so much for animals and the community over the last year.
Dress code is Christmas themed and all staff, volunteers, friends, supporters and families are welcome to join us to celebrate all we have achieved during another busy year.
Children are also welcome and there will be lots to keep them entertained from space hoppers to tunnels to play in.

Todays morning break at the GSPCA some of the team thought we needed to add some Thanksgiving cheer to celebrate the day as one of our team originally across the pond was missing spending the day with friends and family.

“Although not normally celebrated in Guernsey we thought to cheer up one of our team who is from the US, so we decided we would make an extra special effort.”
