This month Guernsey has without doubt seen more fireworks over a longer period of time than for most in memory.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We have seen the busiest firework period for displays over the longest period than any can seem to remember which has caused many issues for the island animals which is clear from the recent survey we have run at the GSPCA.
“In less than 2 weeks we have had 2213 responses to our Firework Survey which we launched at the start of the month making it the most popular survey the GSPCA has ever launched.”
Each year at the GSPCA we hold Dog and Cat First Aid Courses.
For over a decade we have been running dog and cat first aid courses which help teach owners and pet lovers how to save the life of their pet or animal.
GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne who has over 27 years working in the field of animal rescue runs the training and with over 3000 animals through the doors every year at the GSPCA the team see cases of animal first aid on a daily basis here in Guernsey.
The GSPCA recently mentioned we had a new arrival of a lovely little French Bulldog called Bow.

The GSPCA couldn’t do so much without our incredible team.
There are many ways to help the animals in our care and we are currently looking for a number of volunteers to help in a range of roles.
Last Tuesday on the 5th November the GSPCA held the last Volunteer Induction Evening while many were out watching fireworks of 2025 but it is very easy to join the team if you are keen to help.
